The IEC - consisting of the Illinois Environmental Council and the Illinois Environmental Council Education Fund - is the only organization in Illinois focused solely on a broad range of environmental issues across the state. The eyes, ears and voice of the environmental community in Springfield, the Illinois Environmental Council represents groups from around the state on legislation and policies by lobbying and organizing statewide support. Through the IEC Education Fund, the IEC analyzes and communicates news from state government and other important information to the state's environmental community, and acts as a convener for the diverse groups that comprise the Illinois environmental community.
