Congress Passes Health Care Reconciliation Legislation

Thanks to your supportive actions and prayers….after months of debate in Congress, and throughout the whole nation, the U.S. Senate passed the "Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010" (H.R. 4872) by a vote of 56 to 43, on March 25th!  This measure amends the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" (PL 111-148), signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday.  Because the Senate made minor changes to the reconciliation bill, this legislation was sent back to the House, where it also passed on March 25 by a vote of 220 to 207.  The final bills were signed by President Obama on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
